Selamat Tinggal, Lady Unity.

It’s a sad day for all Malaysians today. Not only have we lost a good talent, but we’ve lost a GREAT Malaysian. I may not have the privilege of knowing you personally, but I remembered clearly meeting you briefly right after the screening of Rabun many years ago. I came out feeling like we’ve known each other for a long time. Your stories have always spoke of love, tolerance and life as an ordinary Malaysian. You believed in us as one Malaysians (sic) even before many of us did. You made our stories optimistic and gave us your positive spirit. And today, it’s up to us to carry on that spirit.

Thank you, Yasmin.

Her vision of unity was definitely nothing like the "tagline" politicians like to use – it was born from her heart. We should honour her memory by making sure her vision is never lost.

Is definately a huge loss to us all. :(
(Isn't it wonderful how one person can inspire so many? – I've never had the pleasure of meeting her/ knowing her but her ads have definately left a mark)

I just love on how she touched and inspired us on the true meaning of Malaysia… racial harmony!
I always love to watch her Petronas ads during festive seasons… and let's not forget the critically acclaimed Sepet movie…
    It's our loss…

we've definitely lost a voice that speaks the truth in the humblest of ways. may Yasmin Ahmad rest in peace. and may we be blessed with more talents like herself.

A fitting tribute, this commercial Kak Yasmin did for Singapore. Different country but the same sentiments. Rest in peace, our Lady Unity.
