Earlier in the week, a perculiar video made its round on Facebook. One by one my friends were sharing this video. Some found it amusing, while others were appalled by it. I too had to watch it to see what’s the buzz about.
I hate to admit it but I actually found it rather amusing. In Boleh-land, it seems like everything is possible. In the end, this video has also made me wonder if this is the death of tradition or just a way of staying relevant?
Honestly, I can’t tell anymore these days.
But as much as I’m all for changes and breaking the mould, I’m glad that some things are kept the old fashion way.
Thanks Mrs. Jeanie Lee for never taking any modern short cuts and making every dinner here – Chinese New Year or otherwise – as wholesome and hearty as the first time I’ve tried it when I was just a wee little monkey.
