My Jazzy "Indah" Sunday

Sunday Breakfast.JPG

Today is a lovely day.

It began with a quick home made breakfast. Turns outs I’ve got some Bratwurst from Germany (thanks McCutie), sweet cherry-on-vine, fresh farm eggs lying around in the fridge. There’s nothing like waking up your senses with the sound of garlic skittering in olive oil and the aroma it releases. I decided to add in some paprika from Hungary (thanks Life for Beginners) and thyme (unfortunately dried thanks to McCormick’s) into the pan, and quickly stirred it all up. I then served them with a few slices of buttered toasted sundried tomato bread (I’m not above a good bribe). I can only wish for some cheese lying around too. But still, it was indah (lovely) nonetheless.

Indah‘, the first single taken from Atilia‘s sophomore album is a bright and sunny tune and is the perfect soundtrack to play on a lazy Sunday afternoon with an excellent ice-cold glass of mojito in your hand. In fact, you’ll find the rest of the 10-tracks album, also titled ‘Indah‘, by our very own Jazz Princess just as easy to chill to.

Its music video, recorded along a popular jogging route which I’m sure some of you are familiar with, celebrates this spirit of carefree-ness and features a bunch of other local celebrities like Daphne Iking, Serena C, Yasmin Hani, Dynas Mokhtar, Aishah Sinclair and Sazzy Falak as well. In case you’re wondering what if the significance to their appearance other than adding some glitter to this project, they are all actually part of a group known as the Celepets (CELEbrities with PET projects) and this video is a cute momento to their endearing friendship.

Atilia will be performing her smooth jazzy numbers ‘live’ at the inaugural Empire Shopping Gallery‘s Jazz Festival 2010 in Subang Jaya, along with other industry heavyweights like Francissca Peter, Michael Veerapen and the Jazz All Stars, for three days at the neighbourhood mall’s outdoor area starting from Friday, 22 October 2010.
