Monkey Spaces

As you may noticed, I’ve recently got some time on my hands. Hence the frequent updates on me blog. While many of you are away on your holidays, I have decided to kick my procrastinating ass for a long overdue project – cleaning up my room. Trust me, the place was looking more like a CD warehouse and a junk store rather than a room to sleep in. No wonder I hardly spent many nights here (oops!). Well, now that I have time on my side and knowing that 2008 will be spent pretty much in here, I donned on the sexiest English Butler suit and got the cleaning party started.

Well, it took me more than 3 whole days to clean, rearrange, reorganize and to add in some new fixtures to my room. Now, it looks a lil more like home and this monkey is happy! Queer Eye guys can take some pointers here I feel…but then again, one monkey’s humble abode may be another’s shithole. But, I’m living here and not you!

Revamped Space 2

It’s got an entertainment/creative hub/blog central/toys corner, a lazy as Homer Simpson’s ass corner and a brand new vanity corner with new wall mirror and cabinet to boot! Also, there’s plenty of gifts (read: toys, lights, picture frame, burner etc) received over the years came in handy for the new look of the room. Whatcha think?

And for the benefit of many friends of mine who has been complaining that they’ve not seen the inside of my home before…these are the closest to the secret life of this monkey, well hidden from paparazzi like you. Maybe one day, lucky few might get a private tour. Tee Hee!

P/S: MEERY CHRISTMAS! May you receive joy, happiness and love all through the coming year.

You do know what this does to OCD readers of your blog (such as yours truly)? We’ll just want to revamp our rooms as well! :P

Actually, I used to do this on a semi-regular basis with my room in Malacca (and by “semi-regular”, I mean a complete make-over every quarter, ahem) but now I’m staying on my own in a RENTED apartment, the desire has lessened somewhat.

I can just imagine the DIY mayhem that shall ensue one day when I get my own pad. O yes…

Merry Xmas and a Qwazy New Year! :D

7th: Missed hearing from u…how have u been? All good I hope! Yeah time to clear off the old and bring in the new. What’s sentimental is hold in the heart, not in material things (least I try to tell myself that when I try to throw things away) “so sayang!”

Kenny: Xmas eve’s good. No huge she-bangs just a subdue dinner with a close mate. Xmas was with the family. Was great actually. But lazy to blog about it. Would love to hear your almost disastrous dinner.

And yes, living in a room is different than having a whole place to call your own. Until then, I would just do what I can to make things a lil comfortable for myself.
