The weekend is finally here. I thought it’ll never come. Since the close of work day yesterday I’ve been hiding in the kitchen – yes, I’ve said and it and I’ll say it again that cooking is my way to de-stress. If you see me chopping things up quietly in the kitchen, stay away. Let me enjoy my moment as I slowly unwind to an adagio of chicken sizzling on the pan, soup bubbling in the pot, peppers crackling and cherry tomatoes popping as I cut into them for the salad. Last night, the Panda and I enjoyed a huge serving of Sarawakian Egg Noodles (Kolo Mee) Salad with grilled chicken, eggplant, french beans, cherry tomatoes and tossed in a silky and aromatic toasted sesame dressing.
And what’s so comforting about that you asked? Well, here’s a tiny secret to the dressing, I used copious amount of Kewpie mayonnaise. But let’s not tell the Panda that. He thought he was having double servings of healthiness. It’s still a salad, innit?
Anyway, as I continue to unwind by making a pot of Pork Sausages in Japanese Curry with a dash of cinnamon, carrots and apples, I’ll leave you with something adorably funny and to end the week on a sweet note. Have a good one now.
