Memories of carrying a giant Piglet in a brown paper bag (with its ears sticking out) around college to celebrate your 20th birthday came flooding back while I was running around town getting your cakes and dinner reservation ready a couple weeks back. Do you remember that? Gosh, we’ve grown a lot since then haven’t we? I dunno about you, but I was referring to my waistline.
We’ve shared so much over the last decade and you’ve been my crazy partner in crime. I’m truly blessed. Now, there’s no point in wishing you a happy 30th birthday, because I know you did.
American author, Hervey Allen once wrote, “The only time you really live fully is from thirty to sixty. The young are slaves to dreams; the old servants of regrets. Only the middle-aged have all their five senses in the keeping of their wits.”
Let’s not stop dreaming and let’s not forget to laugh. So, here’s wishing you another great 30 years down the road and many more. I know you’ll have an amazing life ahead of you. Let’s not stop our adventures together either, even if it means putting on a pair of dentures and moving around in one of ‘em wheel-chairs (do you think they have an ATV model?). *HUGS*
