Grave Weekend

PART ONE: HONOUR & RESPECT

The time of the year to pay a visit to the grave of our forefathers and honour them has arrived for us Chinese, as we duly head out and feed their souls with a big feast!

PART TWO: PAYING RESPECTS

When I find myself in times of trouble, mother Mary comes to me,
speaking words of wisdom, let it be.
And in my hour of darkness she is standing right in front of me,
speaking words of wisdom, let it be.

You called me early yesterday. In between tears and choking, you managed to string your sorrows in a sentence. *GASP!* You were in shocked and no other words seems to be able to leave my mouth except for, “Give me 15mins, I’ll be there. Just hang on bro.”

Your world has been changed overnight in a cruel twist of fate. We may have shared many milestones in our lives together, but this was something we’ve never seen coming. We weren’t prepared for this.

There are no words I can offer now to comfort you. Nothing I can say or do that will turn this around. I just pray and hope that you will be strong and live your life as how your Mum would have always wanted you to. And I believe, she knows that you loved her too – very much indeed.

Requiescat in Pace.

My condolences to your friend and his family for their loss. It’s never easy, but having friends like yourself to support him is a blessing.

Thanks. But I’m really worried for my friend. Hope he pulls through this one.
