Delicious Ingredients, Bangsar Village II: I Scream for Ice Scream

A sign right above the freezer counter reads:

I scream,
You scream,
We all scream
for Ice Cream

However if counter unattended, please don’t scream.
Kindly ring bell for service

Ice Cream at Delicious Ingredients.jpg

Gourmet Italian-styled Ice Cream from I Dolci Entreprise is now serving right outside the newly opened Delicious Ingredients outlet in Bangsar Village II.
Little transparent cups overloaded with softly melting, colourful scoops of flavoursome heaven – these gelati and sorbet are individually (home)made in small batches in hopes of pleasing the ice cream snobs of the Kuala Lumpur. Judging from the faces around, I think they are doing a very good job.
i. Sorbets cost RM8 a scoop:
Mango sorbet
Mixed berries sorbet
Jack fruit sorbet
ii. Ice Cream flavours are RM10 a scoop:
Rock road ice cream
Black sesame ice cream
Green Tea ice cream
Bubble Gum ice cream
Peanut Butter + Banana ice cream
Earl Grey ice cream
Yoghurt ice cream
Chocolate ice cream
Chestnut ice cream
iii. The Christmas Pudding ice cream, a special seasonal flavour that taste like a spicier version of Rum & Raisin, costs RM12 a scoop.
Like most established ice cream parlours, you may ask to sample before you make your purchase. The smiley girl at the counter was most obliging in helping me make my choice. I settled for the grainy and flavoursome Peanut Butter + Banana ice cream. I’m a monkey after all.
Apparently these frozen dairy desserts are only available for a limited time only. I think we should petition for it to be permanently on sale. I have a feeling these will be my new guilty pleasures for the coming new year.
Happy Sunday everybody. Hope you’re out enjoying the final Sunday of the year.

aly: Let's go screaming together in 2010!

Sean: Actually it was hard to choose just 1 flavour. I would love to try more, but it's a lil too expensive to swallow.

    LFB: So says the non-alcoholic!

Bangsar-Babe: Tell me how it taste yea?

Ah Pa: Actually yeah, it's a lil on the expensive side. But the happy smiley faces and wonderful flavours got me sold on splurging on a scoop. No regrets!
