Adventures of the Awesome 4-Some

While city-folks of Plastic Town were busy trying to go green last weekend, our heroes the Awesome 4-some, were dressed to the nine looking all fabulous to celebrate a certain monkey’s day of birth. Pulling up at the swankest joint in town, NEROVIVO, our heroes wasted no time and poked their noses into the menu. “Wow, this is compreshensivo, too many a things to orh-der,” said le monyet in a thick Italian Godfather accent. It was then that qwazymonkey suggested “Let’s do communal food thenz, afta-allz sharings is caring!”

“We’re game!” the table replied in unison.

After a long list of orders (personalizing our dishes at that too), Nerovivo staffs with their super memory powers properly repeated all our orders, and not missing out a single thing on our “no scallops-put prawns instead-no shell fishes-no red meat in this-and have that serve first” requests. I’m amazed!

NeroVivo1: Appetizers

Working at super speed, the kitchen staffs whipped up our appetizers in no time. The Rustic Antipasto platter which contains Beef Italian Meatballs, Salmon Cappacio, Grilled Eggplant with Balsamic, Tomato and Buffalo Cheese, Olives, Cheese Dips and sprinkled with a generous serving of Zucchini tempura chips was a great start. Next came the signature NEROVIVO firewood oven-baked pizza. Its bursts of fresh seafood flavours and tomato based combined with anchovies had our heroes going “MAMA-MIA” as soon as the took their first bite!

NeroVivo2.: Mains

The mains were served next with the Homemade Pappardelle with Wild Mushroom and Balsamic leading the way. The mixed of straw mushrooms, oyster mushrooms, portobello and chinese black mushroom together with balsamic was just yummylicious. The Black Mushroom Steak was great too. I’m always grateful with places that understands how a medium steak should be like. Grilled to perfection, the juicy meat just melts away in your mouth. Oooh. And last but not least was the Baked Snapper with Capers, Rosemary and Olives was awesome. Somewhat tasting like the Chinese Teochew steamed fish, is a sensory turn on!

NeroVivo3: Dessert

And what meal would be complete, if our heroes and their expandable stomachs aren’t tempted by desserts? The choices of sin were Chocolate Flan, Classic Tiramisu and a Crème Brule. Only the Crème Brule was a big let down. Other than that, our heroes were giving thumbs up to every dish that came their way.

Once again, our heroes and their expandable stomachs is out to save their hunger one meal at a time. Until next time…Chow-down!

    i’m amazed for the love of food that you have. yes, i love food and i love cooking and eating it too. maybe i should also blog my misadventures in the kitchen of how some stuffs didn’t turn out rite. in short, i like your blog and the pics are just fab!

    Like I always say, what makes the world go round is food. Glad you enjoyed my food as much as I did. Hope u actually get to savour them one of these days.

    And yes, maybe u should blog about your misadventures…it’ll be sure fun to read them
